Al Raffa is the VP of Customs and Compliance for Seafrigo USA, Inc., a global logistics provider dedicated to refrigerated foodstuff established in 1992.  Al has been with Seafrigo for twenty-four years and was personally involved with the development of the organization in the US market.  He spearheaded a satellite location for the French Headquarters starting with five people growing to 200 plus employees. He also supported the development of multiple warehouses based within the USA.

Prior to joining Seafrigo, Al worked for 12 years in various capacities in the brokerage industry.  He received his Customs Broker license in 1997 and is also the qualifying individual for Seafrigo USA’s Customs Brokers license.

Al was elected as a board member in 2015 to the NY NJ Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association and in June of 2017 elected as the Association Vice President of Import, and now in 2025 elected as our Association President. Al is also very much engaged in several other industry platforms, including the APHIS committee and RAC committee with the NCBFAA along with the CPP (Counsel of Port Performance) with the NYNJ Port Authority.
